FAQ

We at Helton Tool & Home have been in the e-commerce business long enough to know that there are some questions our customers want to know the answers to before they even have to ask them. For this reason, we’ve compiled a short list of our FAQs. Read on for answers to some of the most common concerns faced by our customers.

How do I create an account on your website?

Creating a new account is easy! Simply click on the “Register” link, which can be found in the upper right hand corner (next to the shopping cart icon) on all pages of our site. A form will populate, allowing you to enter an email address, password, address, and phone number. Creating an account makes it easier for our customers to place repeat orders and for us to provide excellent customer service in the instance you have to contact us for help.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept payments via credit or debit card or via a PayPal account. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.

Why am I being charged tax?

Because we are an online retailer, the tax rate we are required by law to charge is determined by where our inventory is housed and where the purchased item is to be shipped. Therefore, the necessary tax on an item may not accurately show until after the shipping address has been populated.

How can I make sure I am getting the right Pyrex replacement lid?

The lids we sell correlate with the model number on the bottom of our customers’ existing Pyrex dish. If the dish has a number 7201 embossed on the glass, the 7201-PC lid is the correct one to order.

Some Pyrex lids are compatible with multiple dish models, such as is the case for our 7402-PC lids, which fit a 7402 glass dish and also a 7203 glass dish.

Does the tool I am ordering come with a battery and charger?

Items that are sold with a battery and charger will show these items depicted in the primary image on the listing. Another good indicator of whether the tool comes with accessories can be found in the title. The terms “tool only” or “bare tool” mean that the listed item does NOT come with a battery and charger.

In most cases, our listings inform users which batteries and chargers are compatible with their tool. When users find a bare tool listing to purchase but also want a battery to accompany it, they can look in our bundled tools or search for the desired model number to find the needed item.

How do I determine if an item is new or used?

While most of the items we sell are offered in bulk packaging as opposed to retail packaging, these items are brand new and never before used. It is safe for customers to assume all items are brand new unless the listing states Used, Slightly Used, Refurbished, or Reconditioned. In the case of refurbished and reconditioned items, the tool has been evaluated by the manufacturer for resale as a like-new item. Any items that have been used before may show surface signs of use.

New items that arrive to the customer with surface marks or scuffs may be a result from bin storage in our warehouse. These mild blemishes do not affect the performance of the quality tools we offer.

How long do I have to return an item?

We are pleased to accept customer returns up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Please see our full Product Shipping and Returns page here.
