The Makita BL1820 18V 2.0ah lithium-ion battery features Makita’s Star Protection Computer Controls. This handy communication tech allows the battery and a tool to exchange data in real time to monitor usage conditions and protect against battery over-discharge, tool overload, and potential damage from overheating. It also features an on-board memory chip that communicates with your charger for optimum battery life. This BL1820 18 volt battery provides up to five times longer run time than comparable products, and is capable of reaching a full charge in as little as 25 minutes. It’s compatible with 18V LXT & 18V compact Makita tools that also feature the Star Protection symbol, and is designed for use with the following charger models: DC18RA, DC18SD, DC18SC, DC18SE, and DC18RC (sold separately).

Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with any Makita tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide, at Makita's option, a replacement or refund. Each Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during the one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of MakitaÂ’s Factory or Authorized Service Centers. If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge. This warranty does not apply to Makita Accessories. In no event shall Makita be liable for (A) any indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages arising from the sale or use of the products sold hereunder, or (B) any amount in excess of the amount actually paid to Makita for the products sold hereunder for any liability arising from the sale or use of the products sold hereunder. Makita disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties of "Merchantability" and "Fitness for a specific purpose," after the one-year term of this warranty.
