The Briggs & Stratton 271466 Air Filter Pre-Cleaner is an OEM foam sleeve designed to provide a critical first line of defense for small gasoline engines. Acting as a wrap-style barrier, it envelopes the primary pleated paper air filter element to trap large airborne particles, grass clippings, and coarse dirt before they can choke the main system. This preliminary filtration maintains optimal engine airflow, ensures stable combustion performance, and drastically extends the working lifespan of the primary cartridge. It can be easily washed, re-oiled, and reused during routine engine service intervals. Designed primarily for select 9 and 13 cubic inch L-Head engines, including the classic Briggs & Stratton 80300 Series engines.
